Project Overview
Denver Union Station is a beautifully restored historic train station located in the present day LoDo district of the Mile High City. Originally opened in 1881, the Station has experienced several extensive renovations, the most recent commencing in 2012.
When the latest revival of the old building was completed in 2014, the Station would house not only the main rail station for the city but also a central bus hub and a light rail stop. Restaurants, retail space and the Crawford Hotel help to make Denver Union Station a destination in itself; much more than just a transportation center.
The installation of Platipus Tree Anchoring Systems was an easy and efficient way to provide the stability and security needed for newly planted trees. Using subsurface anchors around the rootballs assured the safety of the many pedestrians visiting Denver Union Station without distracting from the charm of the landscape plan.
